Approve Agency AI's New Permissions (App Pixel)
Quick answer
Agency AI now adds a Shopify app pixel to your store, and it needs one new permission. Open Agency AI in your Shopify admin. When Shopify asks you to approve updated permissions, click Update. Agency AI then sets up the pixel automatically.
Installed Agency AI after this change? You granted the permission at install, so there's nothing to approve.
Approve the permission
- In your Shopify admin, open Apps > Agency AI.
- Shopify shows a request to approve updated permissions for Agency AI.
- Click Update.
You only do this once.
Check it's connected
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Customer events.
- Open App pixels.
- Find Agency AI. It shows Connected.
What the pixel reads
The standard storefront events Shopify shares with app pixels, such as page views, add to cart and checkout steps. Shopify's customer privacy settings decide when it runs, so your store's consent setup applies to it.
It doesn't replace your Meta pixel
Keep your Meta pixel connected. Meta ads still need it. It's the Meta Pixel selected in Settings > Meta account in Agency AI, and Create Ad asks you to Connect Meta Pixel if it's missing.
Troubleshooting
- Shopify didn't ask me to approve anything. You've likely approved it already, or your store installed after the change. Check App pixels as above.
- Agency AI is missing from App pixels, or doesn't show Connected after you approved. Reload the Agency AI app once. Still missing? Email hello@agencyai.app with your store URL.
