What Data Agency AI Accesses and Why
Quick answer
Agency AI reads your Shopify products, orders, and customer data, plus your Meta and Google ad account data. All of it is used for one purpose: running and optimizing your campaigns. Your data is never sold or rented.
What Agency AI reads from Shopify
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Products and collections | To build the product feed used for Dynamic ads and Performance Max, and to generate ad copy from real product data |
| Orders (last 60 days) | To calculate true revenue, ROAS, MER, and cost per acquisition rather than relying on platform-reported numbers |
| Customer data, including email addresses | To separate first-time buyers from repeat buyers, which is how true customer acquisition cost is measured |
| Store owner contact details | Account setup and support |
| Geolocation, IP address, browser and OS | Standard app session and security data |
What Agency AI reads from Meta
Ad account performance, campaign and ad set structure, creative assets, your Facebook Page, your Pixel, and your linked Instagram account. Your ads are published from the Facebook Page you select in Settings.
What Agency AI reads from Google
Your Google Ads account performance and campaign structure, and your linked Merchant Center product feed.
What Agency AI writes
Agency AI creates campaigns, ad groups, asset groups, and ads that you build through the Create Ad page.
For optimization changes, nothing happens without your approval:
- Google: when you click Apply recommendation on a recommendation card, Agency AI executes that change (for example, adjusting target ROAS) in your Google Ads account.
- Meta: Agency AI does not execute optimization changes. It surfaces the recommendation and prompts you to make the adjustment yourself on the Campaigns page.
What Agency AI does not do
- It does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- It does not use your customer data for anything other than optimizing your campaigns.
- It does not make optimization changes you have not approved.
Revoking access
- Meta: in Agency AI, go to Settings → Meta account → Disconnect Meta Account. This removes all stored access tokens. You can also remove Agency AI in Meta Business Settings → Business Integrations.
- Google: Settings → Google account → Disconnect Google Ads Account.
- Shopify: uninstall the app.
