Fix: your Google Ads account is missing from Agency AI
Quick answer
Agency AI lists the Google Ads accounts that the Google login you authorized with can directly access. If the account you want isn't in the Selected account dropdown under Settings → Google account, it's one of four things: wrong Google login, the account sits under a manager account your login can't see, your access level is too low, or the account is suspended or cancelled.
1. Wrong Google login
Google's sign-in window uses whichever Google account is active in your browser. If you run your store's Google Ads from a different account than your personal Gmail, you'll authorize the wrong one without noticing.
Fix: Settings → Google account → Disconnect Google Ads Account. Click Connect again and, on Google's account chooser, pick the account that owns Google Ads (or Use another account). Then pick the ad account in the dropdown and click Save Google Ads Account.
2. The account lives under a manager account
Agencies and multi-store owners often keep client accounts under a Google Ads manager account (MCC). Agency AI connects to the client account that will run your ads, not to the manager account. Your Google login needs direct access on that client account.
Fix: in Google Ads, switch into the client account, go to Admin → Access and security, click +, enter the email of the Google login you use with Agency AI, and set the access level to Standard or Admin. Accept the invitation from that email, then reconnect in Agency AI.
3. Access level too low
Google Ads has five access levels. Email only, Billing and Read only can't create or edit campaigns, so Agency AI can't work with them. You need Standard or Admin.
Fix: ask an admin on the account to raise your level under Admin → Access and security, then reconnect.
4. Suspended or cancelled account
Suspended accounts don't appear, and campaigns can't be created on them. Open Google Ads, check the red banner at the top, and follow the appeal link. Agency AI can't lift a suspension. Once Google reinstates the account, reconnect. A cancelled account can be reactivated from Admin → Account settings.
Other things worth checking
- Two-step verification: if Google shows a QR code and "no passkeys available", see that fix.
- Billing: Google Ads accounts without a payment method can be connected, but campaigns won't serve. Add billing in Google Ads → Billing.
- Merchant Center: if the account shows up but there's no Merchant Center in the Create Ad dropdown, the link between Merchant Center and this Google Ads account is missing. See Merchant Center setup.
