Changing the AI Output Language

Quick answer

Go to Brand Info → AI Output Language, pick the language, click Update Brand Info. From then on, every headline, description, caption and Google asset Agency AI generates is written in that language. Already-created ads are not changed.

What it affects

  • Generate with AI on every Create Ad text field, Meta and Google
  • Ad copy testing variations
  • Copy baked into Genie banner concepts

What it doesn't affect: your Brand Summary and other Brand Info fields (write those in whatever language you like; the AI reads any), the Agency AI interface, Growth Plays and AI Strategist responses.

Selling in more than one language

The setting is one language per store. To run ads in two languages, switch the setting, generate the second set of copy, and switch back. Or run the second market from its own Shopify store and Agency AI install, which is the cleaner setup for separate catalogs and currencies.

Google target language

Separate from this setting. On Create Ad → Google, Target language tells Google which language your audience uses. Set both to match: output language for what the AI writes, target language for who Google shows it to.

Tips

  • Review the first few generations. Idioms and offers ("free shipping over $75") may need a local edit.
  • Put local value propositions in Brand Info in the target language; the AI leans on them for headlines.
  • Meta's character limits are the same in every language. Headlines in German or French run long; watch the counters.
