How to Install Agency AI on Your Shopify Store

Overview

Agency AI installs directly from the Shopify App Store and takes just a few minutes to set up. This guide walks you through the installation process step by step.

Prerequisites

Before installing Agency AI, make sure you have the following:

  • An active Shopify store on any plan (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, or Plus)
  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • A Meta Business Portfolio with an ad account and Facebook Page (required). A Google Ads account is optional.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Find Agency AI in the Shopify App Store

Log in to your Shopify admin dashboard and navigate to the Shopify App Store. Search for "Agency AI" and click on the app listing.

Step 2: Click Install

On the Agency AI listing page, click the Install button. You'll be redirected to your Shopify admin to authorize the installation.

Step 3: Authorize the App

Shopify will display the permissions Agency AI requires to operate on your store. Review the permissions and click "Install App" to proceed.

Step 4: Connect your ad accounts and complete the questionnaire

Your account is created automatically. The app Home shows Meta and Google connect rows and the onboarding questionnaire. Meta is required, Google optional. See What Happens in Your First 24 Hours.

Step 5: Connect Your Meta Account

Once your account is created, you'll be prompted to connect your Meta (Facebook) Business account. Click "Connect to Meta" and follow the authorization flow. For detailed instructions on this step, see our guide: Connecting Your Meta Business Account to Agency AI. If the pop-up doesn't appear, see What to Do If Your Meta Authorization Pop-Up Doesn't Appear.

What Happens Next

After installation and connecting your Meta account, Agency AI will begin syncing your store data and ad account information. This typically takes a few minutes. Once synced, you'll be able to start creating and managing ad campaigns directly from the app.

Troubleshooting

If you experience any issues during installation, try the following:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
  • Make sure you're logged in as the store owner or an admin with full permissions.
  • Disable any browser extensions that may block pop-ups, as the Meta authorization requires a pop-up window.
