What Happens in Your First 24 Hours
Quick answer
Install, complete the onboarding questionnaire, and connect Meta and Google. Agency AI reads your store, builds your brand profile, and constructs a full-funnel ad architecture across both channels. You review it and launch. Most of that 24 hours is Agency AI's time, not yours.
Step 1 — Install and open the onboarding questionnaire
Install Agency AI from the Shopify App Store. The onboarding questionnaire opens automatically. It covers what you sell, who buys it, what your brand stands for, and what growth looks like for you.
This questionnaire is the single most important input in the product. It shapes every piece of ad copy, every creative, and every targeting decision downstream. You can revisit and update it any time on the Brand page.
Step 2 — Connect Meta and Google
The questionnaire prompts you to connect your ad accounts.
Meta. A Meta authorization window opens. Approve the requested permissions, then choose your ad account, Facebook Page, Pixel, and Instagram account. See Connecting Your Meta Business Account to Agency AI.
Google Ads. A Google authorization window opens, working the same way as Meta's. Sign in and grant access, then select the Google Ads account you want Agency AI to manage.
Before you connect Google: your Google Merchant Center account needs to already be linked to your Google Ads account, with your Shopify products approved in the feed. Agency AI cannot launch Performance Max without it. See Setting up Google Merchant Center + product feed and linking Google Ads.
You can change either connection later in Settings.
Step 3 — Agency AI builds your brand profile
Agency AI reads your storefront, your product catalog, and your brand positioning, and constructs your customer cohorts, personas, and brand voice automatically.
You don't write a brief. [CONFIRM: how long does this take, and does the merchant see a progress state?]
Step 4 — Review and launch
Agency AI generates a full-funnel architecture — top of funnel, retargeting, and conversion campaigns — with creatives and copy for both channels. Review it before anything goes live.
Step 5 — Watch the Dashboard
Once campaigns are running, the Dashboard page in Agency AI shows your Stats (Total Sales, Total Orders, AOV, Ad Spend, ROAS, MER) and, below them, Ad Performance Recommendations based on the last 7 days of account data.
Recommendations will be sparse or empty in the first few days. That is correct behavior, not a bug. See Understanding Recommendations.
What you need before you start
- A Shopify store with published products
- A Meta Business account, ad account, Facebook Page, and Pixel
- A Google Ads account with Merchant Center already linked
- A daily budget you're comfortable with. Google Performance Max campaigns in Agency AI default to a $50/day budget, which you can change.
