Using the Agency AI Connector in ChatGPT

Overview

The Agency AI MCP connector plugs your Meta and Google ad accounts into ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT anything about your campaigns — performance analysis, budget optimization, creative recommendations, and scaling strategy — and it answers using your real Agency AI account data.

The connector is purpose-built for ad data, so you get faster responses with less token spend than connecting directly to ad platform MCPs.

Requirements

An active Agency AI account with your Meta and/or Google ad accounts connected
A ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace (custom connectors are not available on Free or Plus plans)
Permission to add connectors in your workspace (workspace admins control this on Business and Enterprise plans)

How to Connect

Step 1: Open ChatGPT settings

In ChatGPT, click your profile icon and open Settings, then go to the Connectors section.

Step 2: Add the Agency AI connector

Click Add custom connector and enter:

Name: Agency AI
URL: https://s.agencyai.app/mcp

If you don't see the option to add a custom connector, ask your workspace admin to enable it, or enable Developer Mode under Settings if your plan requires it.

Step 3: Authorize your account

ChatGPT will open an authorization window. Sign in with your Agency AI account to link it. This uses secure OAuth sign-in — you never paste an API key.

Step 4: Start asking

Open a new chat, make sure the Agency AI connector is enabled for the conversation, and ask away. Examples:

"How did my campaigns perform over the last 7 days?"
"Which ads should I scale and which should I cut?"
"Where is my budget leaking?"
"Give me creative recommendations based on my top performers."

What the Connector Can Do

The connector currently provides read and analysis access to your account:

Campaign, ad set, and ad performance across Meta and Google
Budget analysis and optimization recommendations
Top performer and underperformer pulls
Creative iteration recommendations
Cross-channel scaling strategy

Campaign actions such as launching and pausing ads from ChatGPT are rolling out soon.

Troubleshooting

The connector won't add. Confirm you're on a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace and that custom connectors are enabled by your admin. Free and Plus plans can't add custom connectors.

Authorization fails. Make sure you're signing in with the same account you use for Agency AI. If you recently changed your password, remove the connector and add it again.

ChatGPT says it can't find my data. Confirm your Meta and/or Google accounts are connected inside Agency AI and that the connector is toggled on for the current conversation.
